Taking and making pictures for over forty years, Jim Gillies has established himself as one of the leading equine photographers in Canada and the United States. Having a life-long love of the horse, his photographs of stallions capture the true spirit of each individual.

His photographs have appeared in the Canadian Sportsman, Hoof Beats, TROT, The Directory, New York Sires Stakes, numerous web sites and, sale catalogs.

As a fine artist, Jim Gillies has had numerous exhibitions in Canada and the United States. He has various works in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario, Art Gallery of Vancouver, Art Bank of Canada, and the University of Western Ontario.

Gillies lives in London, Ontario and Dania Beach, Florida.
